Last Updated: May 11, 2025

Thank you for using Verity! This Privacy Policy explains how Floatflow (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Verity mobile application (the “App”).

Information We Collect

How We Use Information

The information we collect is used for the following purposes:

We do not use your query timestamps to track your specific interests or for purposes like advertising. The primary use of timestamps is for operational monitoring and abuse prevention.

Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

Our Stance on Selling Data: We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

To provide its analysis and features, Verity utilizes several third-party services. When you share content or make a query, relevant data is shared with these services for processing. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies to understand how they handle data:

We select service providers that we believe maintain high standards of data privacy and security. However, the data shared with them is subject to their individual policies and practices. Verity endeavors to send the minimal data necessary to these services to fulfill your request.

Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the data we handle. Our approach includes:

While we strive to use these strong security measures to protect your information, it’s important to remember that no system can be 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. Users also play a role in protecting their information by using strong, unique passwords and safeguarding their login credentials.

Your Rights Regarding Your Information

We believe you should have control over your personal information. Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have certain rights regarding the personal information that Verity holds about you. These rights may include:

How to Exercise Your Rights:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at verityapp@protonmail.com. Please clearly describe your request.

To protect your privacy and security, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Please note that exercising some of these rights, such as the right to deletion or the withdrawal of consent for core processing, may result in your inability to use some or all of Verity’s services. We will inform you if this is the case when you make your request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

International Data Transfers

Verity’s primary data storage and processing for information we directly control (such as your login email address and query timestamps) occurs on servers located in the United States (specifically, AWS region us-east-1).

However, to provide Verity’s analytical features, we utilize various third-party services as detailed in the “Third-Party Services and Data Sharing” section of this policy (including AI analysis, internet search, fact-checking, and text-to-speech services). These third-party services may operate globally, and the data shared with them (such as the content you provide for analysis or text for speech synthesis) may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States or other jurisdictions where their servers are located. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.

By using the Verity app, you acknowledge and consent to:

  1. The transfer of your personal information (specifically your login email address and operational query timestamps) to our servers in the United States, if you are using the App from outside the United States.
  2. The transfer of the content you share for analysis to these third-party services, which may involve processing this data in various countries globally as determined by those service providers.

We select reputable third-party service providers and encourage you to review their privacy policies (linked in the “Third-Party Services and Data Sharing” section) to understand their data handling practices, including how they manage international data transfers and the safeguards they apply. While we take steps to ensure data is handled securely during transmission to these services, the subsequent processing and storage by these third parties are governed by their respective policies.

Children’s Privacy

Verity is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
